Queswachaca is the last Inca bridge that has been preserved from more than 500 years ago, it is located on the Apurímac river, this is a bridge that is very popular with the locals. Itinerary

QESWACHACA INCA BRIDGE TOUR FULL DAY 2024
  • 5:00 am, pick up from your respective hotel.
  • 7:00 am. approx. We will arrive at Cusipata where we can have breakfast.
  • 8:00 am Then we will leave until 4 lagoons (50 minutes approx.).
  • Collection lagoon.
  • Asnaqocha Lagoon.
  • Pomacanchi Lagoon.
  • Laguna de Pampa brand or tungasuca.
  • 10:30 am Visit to the Inca bridge (Q’eswachaca).
  • 13:00 pm Lunch in Cusipata.
  • 2:00 p.m. Return to Cusco.
  • 16:00 pm Arrival in Cusco and drop off at their respective hotels.

A representative of the agency will come to pick them up at their respective hotels at 5:00 am, then we will head south-east until we reach the town of Cusipata. There, you can recharge with breakfast and be ready to start our adventure.

We will continue visiting the 4 lagoons (Laguna de Pomacanchi, de Acopia, Asnaqocha and Pampamarca or Tungasuca).
Later we will visit the small volcano of pavilions that is located in the town of Yanaoca, continuing the tour for approximately 1 hour more, we will arrive at the district of Quehue (3,792 m / 12,441 ft), where the last Inca bridge is located, to which the inhabitants of 4 Communities meet every year to renew this bridge in order to avoid its total deterioration. Then we will continue to Queswachaca.

Once on this imposing Inca bridge, you will be able to swing while you connect with the incredible history that your guide will introduce you to. Qeswa is a Quechua word that means “braid”, and “chaka” that refers to a bridge. This one is 30 meters long and is made by hand with ropes of ichu herbs. Then you will have free time to explore this wonderful Inca bridge a bit and take photos.

After visiting the q’eswachaka bridge we will go to the mososqllaqta viewpoint where you can see the pampamarca and asnaqocha lagoons, then we will go to another viewpoint where you can see the stocking and pomacanchi lagoon, finally we will return to cusipata where we can have lunch and thus return to Cusco at approximately 5:00 pm.
