We begin the day at 7:30 AM with a direct pickup from your hotel. We embark on a scenic drive down into the fertile Sacred Valley of the Incas, stopping first at the Taray Viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views of the Andes mountain range and Urubamba river valley fields. Our first archaeological visit is at Pisaq, where we explore the extensive agricultural terraces clinging to the mountain slopes and royal Inca quarters, followed by a brief visit to its vibrant artisan market.
We continue to Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch featuring authentic Peruvian cuisine and local ingredients. In the afternoon, we explore the living Inca town and fortress of Ollantaytambo, a monumental military and religious site featuring steep stone staircases and Sun Temples. At the designated time, we board the scenic tourist train (PeruRail or Inca Rail) at Ollantaytambo Station bound for Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town). During the 1-hour and 45-minute journey, you will watch the landscape transition into lush cloud forest. Upon arrival, our team will transfer you to your selected hotel.
