6-Day Tour Cusco Machu Picchu and Lake titi Caca

We will pick you up at your hotel at 7 am, with our private van and drive towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac. As our first stop we will stop at the Taray viewpoint to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley with crops that dress the mountains like a carpet. Onwards, we head to the archaeological site of Pisac, where you can see the largest Inca cemetery with more than 2,000 tombs. There we can admire the incredible agricultural terraces carved into the mountain, explore the Inca tunnel and the religious area of this important citadel. Here, we will spend more than 2 hours exploring this Inca city.

Afterwards, we head back to the colorful Pisac market, spend some time visiting it and then head to Urubamba for lunch. After our lunch we will go to the Pre-Inca Salt Mines and also to the archaeological site of Moray. After visiting these two centers we will go to Ollantaytambo. There we will explore the archaeological site for 1.5 hours and admire the water fountains, the Temple of the Sun, the Incahuatana and the impressive warehouses. After the excursion, you will take the train (Expedition) at 7 pm to Aguas Caliente.

This day will be wonderful because we will start our tour to Machu Picchu very early, after breakfast we will go to the station to board the bus, we will take a 30-minute trip to the Citadel of Machu Picchu. We will have a 3-hour Machu Picchu tour to see the most important places in Machu Picchu. After the tour, you will have free time to visit Machu Picchu on your own, (optional to climb the Machu Picchu mountain or Huayna Picchu has an extra cost of $70 USD per person).

At an opportune time we will descend from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes, a place where you can have lunch in one of the various restaurants that exist in this town.

In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cusco (you must show up at the station 30 minutes before the train departure), upon arriving at the train station in Ollantaytambo, a representative of our company will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco (one hour and 30 minute trip by car).

The trip from Cusco to Puno begins early, encompassing several fascinating stops. Starts at 7:30 a.m. from Cusco. You will begin your spectacular journey through the Andes to Lake Titicaca. The first stop on this scenic route will be the Andahuaylillas church known as the Andean Sistine Chapel, where you will see intriguing wall paintings and altars from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries completely decorated in gold.

The atmosphere is really fabulous, as is the quiet town that surrounds it. The next archaeological highlight on your trip will be Racchi, a small mountain town, where you will see the Inca temple of Wiracocha and learn about its fascinating construction with adobe walls measuring up to 11 meters high. Afterwards we will take a short break for lunch and then travel through the highest point of the trip, La Raya (4300 m, 14100 feet), which is the midpoint between Cusco and Puno. Before reaching our destination we will pass through the Pukara museum.

Arrival in Puno is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Once there, we will transfer you from the bus station to your hotel to spend the night in Puno.

Today you will visit the highest navigable lake in the world, your transportation will pick you up from your hotel at 6:45 a.m. to take you to the port to take this excursion where we will visit the floating islands of the Uros and the island of Taquile in Lake Titicaca. To visit the Floating Islands of the Uros we will travel for 45 minutes.

The Uros are descendants of one of the oldest cultures in South America. You will appreciate the customs of this island and its crafts. After visiting Uros Island we will go to Taquile Island, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch.

Enjoy the stunning beach and also have the opportunity to walk the pre-Ican trail with spectacular landscapes of the island. Additionally, you will be taken to a family of weavers to learn about their textile art and artistic symbolism that has been declared by UNESCO as a world heritage site. After visiting Taquile Island we will return to Puno (Hotel).

In the morning your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the Juliaca airport located one hour from the city of Puno. Along the way, we will take a small switchback path to the impressive archaeological site of Sillustani.

This site is a pre-Inca sacred cemetery containing above-ground tombs built in the form of tall towers made of giant stones.
Along the way you will also have the opportunity to visit some local houses where they grow crops, raise alpacas and llamas and which is their only economic activity. At the Juliaca airport you will take a domestic flight that takes approximately 2 and a half hours to Lima.
