7:00 a.m. Tour Start (Cusco):

• Hotel pickup in Cusco. Remember to only bring a small backpack for your overnight stay (larger luggage stays in Cusco due to train restrictions).

8:00 a.m. Visit Chinchero:

• Explore the picturesque town, its traditional textile center, and the Inca and colonial ruins.

10:00 a.m. Moray Circular Terraces:

• Visit the experimental agricultural center, famous for its unique circular terraces.

11:30 a.m. Maras Salt Mines (Salineras):

• Stop to observe the incredible landscape of thousands of salt pools carved into the mountain.

1:00 p.m. Quick Lunch:

• Quick stop for lunch in the Urubamba area (a swift buffet or box lunch to maximize time).

2:30 p.m. Ollantaytambo Fortress:

• Visit the massive archaeological complex, which is the final strategic stop before the train journey.

4:30 p.m. Train Journey to Aguas Calientes :

• Board the train bound for Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes).

6:30 p.m. Check-in and Briefing:

• Arrive at the hotel and meet with your guide for a quick meeting to coordinate the Machu Picchu visit the following day.

On this second day we will start our tour to Machu Picchu very early and after breakfast we will go to the station to board the bus, we will make a 30-minute trip to the Citadel of Machu Picchu. We will have a 3-hour guided tour to see the most important places in Machu Picchu, after the tour you have free time to visit Machu Picchu on your own, (optional walk and climb to the mountain of Machu Picchu or Huayna Picchu has an extra cost of $70 USD per person). At the appropriate time we will descend from Machu Picchu to the town of Aguas Calientes to board our return train to Cusco, next arrival time in Cusco at 21:30 PM. Thus ends our incredible excursion of the sacred valley connection to Machu Picchu.
